There is usually one bus per day going to and from Gäddede. Our dream is that we all come together to help each other to get to Gäddede and back from Östersund. So announce your trip in the Facebook group Getting to Gäddede to see if you can get a lift or get some nice company.
By plane
The closest airport is in Östersund, just about 250 km away from Gäddede. The Airport is called Åre Östersund Airport and it’s abbreviation is OSD (helpful if you wanna book a flight from p.ex. Arlanda, Stockholm, using SAS).
By train
Find your train on the website of the Swedish Railway System https://www.sj.se/#/ and participate in one of their fun online auctions for a ticket to Gäddede! The nearest trainstation to Gäddede is Östersund.
By car
From Stockholm it is about 750 km drive to Gäddede, from Arlanda airport it is roughly 700 km. From Gothenburg it is about 1000 km to drive to Gäddede! We strongly recommend winter-tires or ‘dubb-däck’, spike-tires.
Buss Östersund – Gäddede
Local buss service leaving Östersund for Gäddede Friday at 1:30 PM arriving at 5:45 PM. Price is SEK 217 (one way, age 20-64). Return to Östersund leaving Gäddede sunday at 4:30 PM. More information at www.ltr.se.
